It’s not about Mary

Let’s set the record straight. MARY was not chosen because she was perfect, she was chosen because God is.

There is nowhere in Scripture that says Mary was sinless. In fact, the Bible says:

“There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:23

Even Mary knew she needed saving:

“My spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”  Luke 1:47

A sinless person doesn’t need a Savior. But Mary, though favoured, was still human.

Here’s the truth:

The reason Jesus had to be born of a virgin wasn’t about avoiding Mary’s sin. It was about bypassing the iniquity that flows through the bloodline of man.

The Word says:

“Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children…” Exodus 34:7

“Through one man (Adam) sin entered the world, and death through sin.” Romans 5:12

That’s why Joseph’s seed was never part of God’s plan.  Jesus didn’t come from man’s blood, He came from God’s breath.

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be called holy the Son of God.”  Luke 1:35

Jesus was born of a woman, but conceived by the Spirit. No human father. No inherited sin.
A perfect Lamb, born of a perfect Father, sent to save imperfect people.

“He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in His mouth.” 1 Peter 2:22

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15

That’s the Jesus we serve.
That’s the King who rules.
That’s the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)

So no, it wasn’t about Mary. It was never about Mary. It was about the Father. It’s always been about the Father.

Jesus Christ is King, born of a perfect God, Holy from the womb, spotless on the cross, and risen in glory.

Give Him the glory. He alone is worthy.
